ABOUT THE PANELISTS/SPEAKERS

Jason Shah | Managing Partner, Alera Group Healthcare Professional Liability Division

Jason has a background in medicine, information technology and business development.  Since co-founding Flagship Healthcare in 2007 (now part of Alera HPL), Jason utilizes his medical background and insurance expertise to develop risk management and insurance programs for healthcare practices around the country.  Jason studied Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago and later completed his MD from the UIC College of Medicine.

 

Crystal Miner | Owner and Operator, C-Business Services

Crystal has over 10 years of experience in healthcare management, having worked in primary and specialty care, private practice and federally funded clinics.  Through her work in healthcare, she has managed several projects from selection and implementation of EHRs to finding efficient workflows throughout the clinic.  Crystal has served as educational chair and as  a member of the executive board for the Alaska MGMA association as well as holding various volunteer positions for national MGMA.  Her passion for results and desire to help others has led Crystal to offer a helping hand to administrators with project management and creating deliverables through her company C-Business Services.  Crystal is a Fellow of the America College of Medical Practice Executives and holds an MBA in Health Service Administration.  She has also published two articles in The Journal of Medical Practice Management.  These are titled "How to Value the Worth of Your Front Desk Staff" and "Benchmarking for Improvement."
